- SBK Teaching Standards (sole trader) – the only person with administrative access

Some of our service providers (e.g., Google, Microsoft, MoodleCloud, Facebook) may store or process data outside the UK. Where this occurs, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), adequacy decisions, or other legally recognised safeguards.
10. Data Retention
We retain your information only for as long as necessary:
- Membership and course data: retained for 2 years after the end of membership
- Payment records: retained for 6 years (HMRC requirement)
- Assessment submissions and results: retained for 2 years after membership ends
- Certificates and digital badges: retained for verification purposes for 2 years after membership ends
- Emails and communications: retained for 2 years
- Analytics data: retained according to provider settings (typically 14–26 months)
After these periods, data is securely deleted.
11. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data

- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent
- Object to processing
- Request restriction of processing

12. Withdrawing Consent
If you withdraw consent, your membership and course access may end, and your data will no longer be processed except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations. Uploaded documents may be accessible to you and the data controller. We take steps to minimise risk, but no online system is entirely risk-free.
